Privacy at Donkey Vote.

Analytics

Donkey Vote uses Google Analytics to understand broad traffic patterns, including which pages are visited, how people reached the site and general browser or device information. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies to distinguish visits.

We send page paths such as /issues/housing, /quiz or /compare. Query parameters are removed, so party and issue choices that may appear after a question mark in your browser address are not sent as part of the page address.

The website tag disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation. We do not use analytics to advertise to you, build a political profile or recommend a political party.

What we do not track

We do not send the following information to Google Analytics:

• parties or issues selected for comparison
• topic chooser answers
• search terms entered on the site
• contact-form names, email addresses or messages
• a score, political profile or inferred voting preference.

Comparison selections are used to build the page you see and may appear in your browser address. We remove those parameters from analytics page addresses and do not use them to build a political profile. We do not ask you to create an account.

Basic site delivery

Like other websites, Donkey Vote relies on hosting infrastructure to deliver pages and protect the service. It may process standard request information such as an IP address, browser details, time of access and the requested address. This is operational information, not a Donkey Vote party-matching or political-profiling system.

Contact form

If you send us a message, you choose to provide your name, email address and message. The form is delivered through FormSubmit to the Donkey Vote contact email so we can read and respond to it. Do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your question or correction.

FormSubmit is a separate service with its own handling practices.

Other websites and services

Our pages link to electoral authorities, political parties, government publications and other source websites. Those services have their own privacy practices. Following an external link leaves Donkey Vote.

Google processes analytics information as our analytics provider. You can read Google’s Privacy Policy and its information about safeguarding Analytics data. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
